Moravian Star White Towel
This beautiful towel is adapted from the
traditional Moravian Star design. This delicate hand towel is made for Old Salem in a cotton and linen blend. The embroidery on the towel is white on white.
The Moravian Star incorporates a motif that has been carefully adapted from a 26-point star that originated about 1850 in Germany, as a drawing exercise in a Moravian boys school. The star is typically displayed during the Advent and Christmas seasons by Moravians worldwide, though it is said to have been originally created for an Epiphany celebration.
