During the American Civil War, the haversack was one of the standard-issue uniform pieces carried by all soldiers, both Confederate and Union. It was used to carry a surplus of food and drink and/or personal belongings.

Our Haversack is a functional messenger-style bag. It is made of 100% pre-washed cotton duck canvas and features a spacious compartment with a front flap and two-button closure. Measures approximately 11 1/2" long x 10 1/2" wide; shoulder strap measures 42" long. Includes a full-color, tri-fold historical booklet.
