edited by Sarah Bahnson Chapman
Bright and Gloomy Days is a compilation of letters written by Charles Frederic Bahnson, an assistant quartermaster in the Confederate army, to his father, a bishop in the Moravian church. In the correspondence that took place between 1860 and 1865, Bahnson's dedication to the Confederate cause and his fellow southerners and a commitment to his Moravian faith is clearly shown. Part of the Voices of the Civil War series. Edited by Sarah Bahnson Chapman, great-great-grandaughter of Charles Frederic Bahnson and director of interpretive programs at Old Salem Museums & Gardens. 2003; Hardcover; 250 pages 66044 |
