The Old Salem Toy Museum has several Victorian German Belsnickels, or "Nicholas in his furs," referring to St. Nicholas, the fourth century saint. Our colorful Christmas Belsnickels, in four sizes, are inspired by originals in the Old Salem Toy Museum collection. They are hand-painted cast resin, made in North Carolina.
