The painting used for this wooden puzzle is Salem from the Southwest, by Pauline Bahnson Gray. This lovely landscape was probably inspired by an early nineteenth-century lithograph of Salem, North Carolina. Pauline Bahnson Gray created the painting in 1953 for her daughter Pauline and her husband, Norwood Robinson.
