Welcome to Old Salem

Special Announcement for Moravian Book and Gift Shop Customers

Old Salem Museums & Gardens (OSMG) recently assumed management of the Moravian Book & Gift Shop (MB&G) and we would like to welcome their customers to our web site. Please check back with us in the coming weeks as we transition your favorite items from the MB&G web store to the OSMG web store. In the meantime, please take a look around our site for museum exclusives, candles, books, music, and unique Moravian items, including our original, paper-thin Moravian cookies.

Old Salem Museums & Gardens is home to one of the largest landscape restorations in the country - the Single Brothers' Garden. This garden allows visitors to see implementation of the commercial gardening practices, as vegetables and herbs grown in the Single Brothers' Garden were used to feed those living in the Single Brothers' House. The nine other family gardens help tell the story of domestic gardening in Salem.

Our online store now includes books on gardening and will soon feature garden-related items. Please browse and shop our site to find museum reproductions and exclusives, books, music, home décor, and tasty goodies, including our original, paper-thin Moravian cookies!!
